Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
General
What is DTF printing?
DTF (Direct to Film) is a professional printing method where your design is printed onto a special transfer film and applied to fabric using heat and pressure. It allows for full-color prints with high detail, strong adhesion, and excellent durability on cotton, polyester, blends, and more — including both light and dark garments.
What is UV DTF printing?
UV DTF is a peel-and-stick transfer technology designed for hard surfaces. Instead of heat, it uses a pressure-based application, making it perfect for glass, plastic, metal, acrylic, packaging, and product branding.
What’s the main difference between DTF and UV DTF?
DTF is used for fabrics and requires a heat press. UV DTF is used for hard surfaces and requires no heat — just apply and press.
Ordering
Is there a minimum order?
No minimums. You can order a single design for testing or scale up with bulk production using gang sheets — completely flexible based on your needs.
Can I combine multiple designs in one order?
Yes. Gang sheets allow you to place multiple designs into a single layout, helping you maximize print space and significantly reduce cost per design.
Can I reorder the same design later?
Yes. As long as you have your original file, you can reorder anytime and expect consistent print quality.
Which ordering option should I choose?
- By Size → Best for single designs or quick orders
- Gang Sheet Builder → Best if you want to create your layout easily
- Upload Gang Sheet → Best if your file is already ready
- Pre-Cut → Best for faster application and workflow
Files & Artwork
What file format should I upload?
PNG files with a transparent background are strongly recommended. This ensures clean edges and accurate print results.
What resolution should my artwork be?
300 DPI at the final print size is ideal. Lower resolution files may appear blurry or pixelated when printed.
Do you check or fix my files before printing?
No. All files are printed exactly as submitted. This allows for faster production and full creative control, but it also means you should ensure your file is fully print-ready before uploading.
What makes a good print-ready file?
- Correct size at final dimensions
- High resolution (300 DPI)
- Transparent background
- Clean edges and spacing
- No unwanted shadows or backgrounds
Production & Shipping
How fast is production?
Most orders are printed within 24 hours. Our workflow is optimized for speed without compromising quality.
When will my order ship?
Orders are shipped immediately after production. Delivery time depends on your selected shipping method and order volume.
Do large or bulk orders take longer?
In some cases, high-volume or complex orders may require additional processing time, but we always aim to keep turnaround as fast as possible.
Application
Do I need a heat press?
- For DTF transfers: Yes, a standard heat press is required
- For UV DTF transfers: No heat needed — simply peel and apply
Are the transfers easy to apply?
Yes. Both DTF and UV DTF transfers are designed for fast, repeatable, and consistent application — whether you're just starting or running production.
What happens if I apply it incorrectly?
Incorrect temperature, pressure, or surface prep can affect adhesion and durability. Following the application guides ensures the best results.
Durability
How long do DTF transfers last?
With proper application and care, DTF transfers maintain color, flexibility, and adhesion for 50+ washes without cracking or fading.
Are UV DTF transfers durable?
Yes. UV DTF transfers are water-resistant, scratch-resistant, and built for long-term use on hard surfaces under normal conditions.
What affects durability the most?
- Correct application
- Proper washing or cleaning
- Avoiding high heat and harsh chemicals
- Surface preparation (for UV DTF)
